How Sweet!

I was not feeling very good earlier this evening. I got dizzy and had a headache so I laid down to rest for a bit. I wasn't feeling up to making dinner so John made (from scratch) pancakes and eggs (my favorite!). He is the sweetest most greatest husband ever! The pancakes and eggs were delicious!

John has been so great during all this. He endures my moods, my cravings, my aches and pains and highs and lows. I am so grateful and appreciative to have him and his support in my life. Thank you, John!

First Ultrasound-1/19/10!!

Today we saw our baby for the first time! It is confirmed that I am currently 12 weeks and the due date is August 7th. Take a look! He/she is soo cool. John and I were so excited. He/she was jumping all around and moving his/her arms and legs. It was amazing.

We can't wait to meet him/her. We can't wait to know if it's a him or her!

1/13/10-2nd Prenatal Visit

John and I heard the baby's heart beat for the first time! It was exhilarating and mesmerizing! I didn't listen to the radio on the way home because I did not want to forget the sound. No ultrasound yet....that is scheduled for January 28th. I'm kind of sad that I still don't have an accurate due date and the doctor's office records had not been updated to reflect my being further along as indicated by the blood test. So, I have no idea how far along I am but I'll just be happy that I have my energy back. The doctor's office gave me this diaper bag gift that was stuffed with magazines and other information. After reading through some of the material I am beginning to feel overwhelmed....not that I thought this would be easy! I know time will fly by and I am sooo good at procrastinating I bet I won't go shopping for baby supplies until the week before I'm due.....I hope that doesn't happen. I feel like I haven't asked the doc enough questions....Can you tell I'm freaking out a bit?

My energy is back?

Over the last week I have been feeling pretty good. Reduced feelings of nausea and exhaustion. I don't want to jinx it but I'm glad to feel decent again. One day I even worked out which I have not been able to do for the last 5 weeks. The weather has been warming up a bit and I feel great when I sit outside in the sun. John and I went to Lowe's this weekend and I fell in LOVE with this patio swing glider thing. I tried to play the pregnant card in order to get it but it didn't work :(

This coming week is our 2nd doctor's appointment. I am excited and nervous (I don't like doctor's or doctor's offices very much). Maybe they will give me an actual due date this time!

I have been feeling awful for the last few weeks but today I am feeling pretty good. I have had the last week off of work for the holidays and it has been relaxing and wonderful not to feel stressed out and rushed. Today I am working on getting the chores done to get ready to go back to work on Monday :( I actually made my first maternity clothing purchase today (not that I need it yet). Gap was having a crazy sale so I snagged a cute shirt for $10, I really don't think it's fair that pregnant ladies get cuter clothes than everybody else. I think I'll wear it even after I have the baby!
