25 Week Belly Pics

It's been a while since we posted any belly pics so here you go! My dog Mollie wanted to join me, too.

I feel like every day my belly gets bigger and bigger. I can't reach my toes any more and have to take the stairs slowly so I can catch my breath! I wonder how much bigger I'll get.

We also took a belly pic of John below!

25 Weeks and Feeling Domestic

This weekend I made John do a project with me. We planted an herb garden! I have never done this before....I hope we did it right...I hope they survive! We planted basil, oregano, parsley, cilantro and a jalapeno plant. I use them so much in cooking that I thought it would be wise to try and grow a supply of my own. Then John had the motivation to take care of our weeds. What a nice husband. AND best of all: he took me to Dairy Queen! What a happy day. (This is all while the basketball playoffs were on!)

I've been feeling very domestic recently. I baked lemon bars last week, I've been thinking of ways to stay organized and cleaning out closets, getting rid of stuff we don't use. I think next weekend I'll finish this quilt I started a year and half ago....

There is a first time for everything plus nursery progress!

Wow, okay, today John and I were in the grocery store. As we were in an aisle trying to locate the chile oil, a woman pops out of nowhere, bends down and puts her face not but an inch away from belly and starts talking loudly to it! She was like, "Hello in there, your mom and this fellow are smiling, she looks great!" Then proceeds to tell me that babies probably get board of hearing the same voices and noises. Then she bends down again and continues to talk to my belly and John and I look at each other in shock and disbelief. All I could do was laugh and say thank you, what do you do when a stranger comes up on you like? I have never experienced something like that and I felt like it was something that happens in movies. It was so funny and wierd! Then later, in the same grocery store trip, John saw 2 ladies staring at me....I must look funny or something.....

This passed week I had 2 people ask me if I was expecting....I was tempted to say no and blame the belly on overeating sweets or something. I told my neighbor about these experiences and she was saying there will be much more of it. People will try and tell you how to raise your kids or advise you on "the proper" way to care for a baby. I already have people touching my belly without an invitation, I don't know how much more I can take!

Okay, so John despises painting but he had the motivation this weekend to paint the baby's room! It looks better than I even imagined!
Green is my favorite color. I think it can be calming but fun and I am so excited that the baby gets to have such a cool room.

Doc Appointment-23 Weeks

Everything is looking great! He has a strong heart beat and he is really active. He kicked the heart monitor thing! I am now 133 pounds which means I have gained 15 pounds! Lately I haven't been eating as healthy as I should....Easter brought jelly beans, little chocolate candies and my work has recently filled their candy bowl with a delicious combination of starbursts, twix, laffy taffy and sour candies....needless to say, I need to get back on track.

I have been reading that I should be sleeping on my side and never to lay flat on my back. I woke up in a panic this morning because I was on my back! I didn't mean to and I felt so awful so all morning I was concerned. Then my doc tells me it's no big deal, I should lay however makes me comfortable. I have been doing a lot of unnecessary worrying I guess.

I finally ordered some maternity clothes. I had bought some maternity pants back in January and insisted that they would last me. They were big at the time and I thought no way would I fill them.....well the time has come to get bigger pants.....It will be nice to feel comfortable and be able to breathe!
